What Our Customers Say
"LOVE THIS GAZEBO!"
We’re so happy we purchased this particular cedar gazebo. It is beautiful and sturdy. We chose this one for its durability and the ability of the steel roof to handle snow accumulation.
Our GoConfigure two-man crew completed assembly in just four hours!! They were very knowledgeable and professional.
This gazebo is a backyard statement- very inviting and the cedar smells wonderful. We are totally satisfied with our purchase. It’s our new three season hang-out space!
"BEAUTIFUL AND RUGGED!"
My husband and I are newly retired and decided that this Gazebo would be our first handyman project to begin our retirement with. The Gazebo instructions ALONG with the app worked very well. We were able to put the Gazebo together in about three days. We only needed help on the fourth day, when we installed the roof panels onto the Gazebo rafters. We were very impressed with how sturdy and strong the structure is. We had looked at other gazebo kits and most of them do not have wooden rafters. We think that this Gazebo Kit is top of the line and highly recommend the purchase of this kit, you will be thrilled!!!
"GREAT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE!"
After researching gazebo options for about a year, our entire family voted to purchase this one. I’m so glad we did. It immediately became everyone’s favorite place on our property. The pieces are sturdy and well constructed. There were no issues with quality, like I have read in reviews of gazebos from other companies. We love the look! The price is very reasonable compared to the competition. I definitely recommend this gazebo. Absolutely no regrets!
Why do we love steel? Because its strength and durability are simply unmatched. Plus, galvanized steel looks as good as it performs.
When compared to aluminum, steel has a higher concentration of carbon and that leads to many benefits. It makes steel both more resilient and stable. This can be seen in the significantly higher tensile strength of steel, which means it’s more resistant to bending under pressure than aluminum.
Additionally, layered steel provides a better heat barrier and distribution, helping keep what’s directly under the gazebo roof from reaching dangerous temperatures.
- Corrosion-resistant steel roof
- 50 lbs. per square foot roof strength
- Thermally layered roof reduces heat transfer by 20 degrees
Gazebos are meant to be used in an endless number of ways and we give you the ability to power all of them with our exclusive PowerPort™.
From lights to music to mixers to anything else you can think of that needs to be plugged in, our PowerPort enhances what you can do with your gazebo with three surge-protected USB ports and three electrical outlets, all protected by a water-resistant closure.
Plus, it’s moveable. You have the option to place it on any of the posts and change locations if needed.
To ensure we’ve engineered the best possible gazebo for you, we’ve tested each of our designs to certify that they achieve the absolute highest standards in the industry.

What To Watch Out for When Buying a Gazebo
Weak, lightweight aluminum roofs
- Aluminum roofs are often touted for being lighter than steel. This is true, but that lower weight comes with weaker performance.
- Aluminum roofs are much more likely to dent than steel roofs. This can happen during installation with simple mishandling or dropping a tool. Additionally, natural events like hail, fallen branches, etc., can easily leave an impression on the aluminum.
- Steel is heavier than aluminum because it has a higher concentration of carbon — that’s also what makes steel stronger and more resilient.
Roofs that require snow removal
- If you live in an area with regular snowfall, roof strength matters in two ways: how much can it hold, and do you have to clear it off?
- That second point might have caught you off guard, but clearing the roof of snow is something you’ll notice on nearly all aluminum roof gazebos in order to keep the warranty valid.
- The stronger tensile strength of steel is why you don’t need to worry about clearing the roof of snow on our gazebos. They’re more than strong enough to hold that weight until the snow melts or slides off on its own. (Our strongest gazebo can hold up to 12,600 lbs.)
Low-quality footings that absorb moisture and weaken over time
- Where your gazebo touches the ground is the most likely spot where decay, rot, and other structural problems can easily seep into the posts.
- Footings are one particular area that many gazebos fail to recognize — we know that strong footings make a more stable, longer-lasting gazebo. Plus, we make ours look good!
- Our powder-coated steel anchoring plates prevent moisture from being easily absorbed into the posts and provide a safe, effective method for bolting your gazebo into pavers or concrete pads.
Quality issues on soft top gazebos that fade and wear out over time
- Gazebo roofs come in a variety of materials including soft top fabric canopies and hard top roofs. Which type you choose is partly a preference of taste, but also of functionality.
- Backyard Discovery gazebo roofs are made of steel and outperform soft top options in durability, especially because they are manufactured from galvanized steel that is heavy, rust proof, and made to last.
- Soft canopy fabric gazebos provide flexible set-up and tear-down but tend to fade in the sun or blow off in high wind, and are frequently replaced after a few years for a stronger hard top model.
